Katherine is a registered psychologist and yoga therapist working in Calgary. She works with children, adolescents and adults. Kathie has completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology and has obtained her certification in Yoga Therapy at Mount Royal University and through the Bihar School of Yoga in India. Kathie uses yoga therapy in conjunction with psychotherapy to help her students resolve past trauma and maintain a emotionally balanced life. She is well versed in Yoga Nidra and uses deep relaxation to help students find peace in their body, mind and soul. Kathie has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and Central America. In 2007, she spent six months living in an ashram while studying yoga therapy. While traveling in India, Kathie also completed an course in Ayurveda and completed a vipassana meditation retreat, where she was required to meditate and remain silent for 21 days. Her mission is to bring yoga to people from all walks of life and to help everyone achieve a peaceful mind and an open heart.
